Overview:

Join the Woodcroft aquatics team as a Swim Instructor! We’re seeking patient, enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about teaching and helping swimmers build confidence in the water. As a Swim Instructor, you will lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons that focus on water safety, skill development, and fostering a lifelong love of swimming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach structured swim lessons according to Woodcroft’s curriculum and skill progression.
  • Provide clear instruction and constructive feedback to swimmers of varying ages and ability levels.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment at all times.
  • Ensure proper supervision of swimmers during lessons.
  • Track swimmer progress and communicate skill development to parents and AD as appropriate.
  • Set up and break down lesson equipment before and after sessions.
  • Enforce pool rules and safety standards consistently and professionally.
  • Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 16 years old.
  • Previous swimming experience required.
  • Previous teaching, coaching, or childcare experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work confidently in the water for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.



Schedule:

This is a seasonal position during the spring and summer lesson sessions. Lessons may be held on weekday mornings, evenings, and select Saturdays. Flexible scheduling options may be available based on availability and lesson demand.
