We are looking for a composer, orchestrator, influencer and driver. This is a newly-created role, you will help influence and shape the company's growth and trajectory.


Since 2012, Wonderful has been designing, inventing, and innovating web apps, mobile apps, and future-forward products. We consider ourselves to be Digital Pioneers that help businesses and brands grow and scale. We are a dynamic and disruptive company that has a steady stream of business with existing clients. Now we are ready to blow the ceiling off that “steady stream” and shift into massive growth mode. We have the management team in place to triple our business, now we need the right business development leader to help build on our success.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and managing processes that will directly drive success. While new business is everyone’s business, you’ll focus your strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, organizational process and stellar communication abilities to help us identify and convert new opportunities and clients. The ideal candidate is highly entrepreneurial, confident, charismatic and creative!


  • Ideally 8-10 years of B2B business development experience with success in identifying, pitching, closing & onboarding new clients and projects.
  • You have had a broad set of experiences developing and implementing partnership strategies, including complex, bespoke deals and scalable/repeatable initiatives
  • Experience working at or with startups a BIG plus!
  • Tech, Digital Marketing, Advertising Agency experience also relevant
  • Has an established network of contacts at brands, agencies and/or VC firms
  • Experience consistently meeting and exceeding goals
  • Proven track record in the development and closing of new business, growth of existing business, and client retention
  • Proven ability to prioritize, be assertive, detailed oriented, self-starting and a willingness to take ownership and follow-through
  • Solid negotiation skills and the ability to comprehend and creatively solve clients’ business challenges
  • Proven ability to acquire information through networking and primary research that forwards your understanding of opportunities
  • Skilled at understanding new business dynamics and commercializing businesses within new environments successfully
  • Possesses sound business judgment, problem solving and analytical problem solving skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills- persuasive yet approachable & not forced
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, is flexible, takes initiative when you see work that needs to be done, and you don’t expect active management


  • Proactively and qualitatively identify and close new business opportunities
  • Actively pursue new business leads and maintain a strategically consistent contact cadence to ensure Wonderful stays top of mind, ultimately, leading to the win of new accounts
  • Develop the new business pipeline by measuring and prioritizing opportunities, with a focus on the right fit and scale
  • Confidently lead pitch presentations and complete RFP/RFIs
  • Ability to contribute/create effective presentations tailored to the target clients and their needs
  • Collaborate with founders on quarterly and annual success metrics for new business (i.e. leads, presentations, deals closed, revenue, etc.)
  • Identify and establish good referral partners
  • Follow and strategically analyze industry trends and announcements, to provide proactive recommendations and insights for new business opportunities
  • Collaborate and cross-functionally work with the Wonderful team
  • Help define and improve Wonderful’s value proposition by contributing feedback and ideas to the company’s executive and product teams
