Christmas in Color, presented by Wonder Entertainment, seeks an EVENT MANAGER to help lead an event crew and manage an interactive Christmas drive-thru light show display. The event will be held at the Dorney Park in Allentown, PA.
Christmas in Color is looking to hire a motivated Event Manager that is skilled, self-starter, and has a positive attitude to contribute to this event's success! As the Event Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to lead and direct an event staff of 10-15 team members, Make sure all on-site operations are managed in a safe and efficient manner that provides guests with a positive experience.

Operational Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a passion for Entertainment Production by showcasing exceptional leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills in an immersive entertainment and theme park setting
- Hire, train, and schedule event staff according to Christmas in Color Staffing plans
- Meet all quality goals for the event in the areas of safety, guest service, efficiency, and appearance
- Able to work under pressure and execute sound decisions, emergency actions plans, and evacuation procedures if necessary
- Represent the Christmas in Color identity professionally
- Ensure that all labor laws, safety protocols and company policies are followed at all times
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Including rain, wind and possible snow
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs
- Liaison between the Director of Experience and assigned Park regarding site issues, incidents, and Staff experience
- Perform management opening and closing procedures while also ensuring those procedures for all Park Operations Associates are completed efficiently and safely
- Able to perform all Park positions in the case of providing a break, teaching a new team member and/or covering for a Park Operations Associate
- Be the final contact in handling any guest issues during the event that other team members may be struggling with
- Stay in communication with the Director of Experience, Guest Relations Team, and fellow Park Managers throughout nightly shows and the overall season to produce a seamless and high-quality experience for our Guests
Administrative Duties
- Financial management including budget tracking, cost control, labor forecasting, and payroll
- Responsible for onboarding paperwork of all on-site employees, including build and tech staff
- Schedules for hourly event staff to be completed weekly
- Updating daily reports, inspection checklists, and other critical documents as needed
- Responsible for conducting training related to safety and guest service
- Perform some administrative duties alongside the Regional Manager, such as pulling ticket statistics, filling out daily phase sheets, and completing show production reports
Experience Required
- Previous experience managing a fast paced event
- Minimum of two years experience in event management, project management, event planning, customer service management or related field.
- Must be comfortable in hiring and managing a Team
- Excellent verbal and written communication with high-level organization skills
- Experience in Customer Service and communicating with a Ticketing/Guest Relations Team
- Demonstrated ability and experience in coordinating teams and executing multi-faceted plans, including contingency plans
- Proven conflict resolution and professionalism skills with customers and team members

- Minimum 18 years of age or older
- Physical demands: Able to stand/walk for the duration of a 6-8+ hour shift in all weather conditions
- Be able to lift 50lbs
- Able to use personal electronic devices, including a computer and cell phone to perform administrative duties
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be comfortable working outdoors (hot and cold weather conditions)
- Must be available to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays
