Wits Property Management is a growing division of Wits Group, LLC, currently managing over 250 residential units throughout the Twin Cities.
The Administrative Assistant role supports the daily administrative and coordination functions of the maintenance department. This role ensures owners are satisfied with maintenance costs, quality, and communication, while tenants receive timely service and clear updates. This position is ideal for an individual looking to grow within property management and operations.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday–Thursday: In-office from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Fridays: Optional WFH, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
On-call rotation requirements:
- One weekend every five (5) weeks
- One weekday evening per week (emergency calls only)
- On Call rotation includes additional compensation base for on call time, and additional hourly pay when responding to emergency/after hours calls

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance work orders with tenants, owners, and vendors
- Receive, review, and assign work orders promptly and professionally
- Obtain estimates and secure owner approval prior to scheduling repairs
- Troubleshoot maintenance concerns with tenants when possible to reduce time and costs
- Communicate clearly with owners regarding scope, pricing, and repair status
- Ensure vendors complete work as approved and provide photo verification
- Maintain accurate records and updates within the property management system
- Collaborate with internal technicians and preferred vendors to diagnose and coordinate maintenance needs
- Escalate issues as appropriate and report directly to the Operations Manager
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (bilingual a plus)
- Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Experience with AppFolio is a plus
- Customer-service oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of home maintenance or construction is a plus
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Education & Experience
- One (1) or more years of customer service or equivalent professional experience
- Previous property management experience preferred
