Summary

WISE Advise + Assist Team is looking for a skilled and driven Business Development Representative to build our client base. The Business Development Representative has the first (and therefore the most important) opportunity to make a positive impression on a potential client. They are responsible for starting an experience that will set the stage for driving all sales activities from lead generation through close. The Business Development Representative will work autonomously to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue and profit generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.


Responsibilities

Main duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Opportunity to own and cultivate a business development process, pipeline and client experience journey.
  • Develop warm leads through the business development process.Create a great first impression to our prospects and clients by providing outstanding customer service
  • Answer customers’ questions on services and provide solutions/recommendations by having a strong understanding WISE Advise +Assist Teams client offerings
  • Develop and execute a business development process to target prospects and cultivate warm leads. Must be comfortable developing your own client list and leads. 
  • Methodically research, prospect and do outreach to targeted accounts and speak about the company’s services via phone and email to create sales ready opportunities
  • Hybrid role requiring both outbound prospecting and nurturing inbound/warm leads.
  • Owns discovery and qualification of leads, partners with leadership and account managers for proposals and close, hands off to Account Manager post-close
  • Create reports from contracts/deals, customer information, and purchasing trends into our CRM; must be able to present reports to the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to support successful campaigns

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in business, marketing, communications or behavioral sciences
  • 2 + years of previous sales, marketing, or customer service experience 
  • History of achieving and exceeding quota expectations
  • Experience initiating and developing your own lead lists and process
  • Positive, energetic and professional phone presence
  • Strong communicator with excellent listening skills
  • Excel with outbound strategies, such as cold calling and lead generation.
  • Ability to be sensitive to the customer’s needs to develop warm customer relationships
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Outstanding attention to detail with superior time management skills
  • Comfortable selling consultative, non-transactional services
  • Can explain complex services simply
  • Values long-term relationships over quick wins
  • Self-directed, organized and CRM driven
  • Team oriented; working with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative environment
  • Expert knowledge of CRM web-based tracking systems such as Hubspot
  • Working knowledge of enterprise tools (ex: Teamwork, Asana, Slack)
  • Advanced knowledge of Google suite


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or behavioral sciences


Computer Requirements

For the home wireless system:

o Strong internet connection.

o Have a firewall to protect wireless internet.

o Not allow others to use their wireless internet.

o Use strong passwords for the wireless system and firewall (not the factory installed).

Computer:

o Have 2 factor authentication for computer and critical software.

o Encryption for hard drive.

o Good security software (McAfee, Norton, MalwareBytes, etc).

o Tethering or VPN to protect internet usage.


Additional Information

  • Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a contract, commissioned based position with the potential for an hourly rate. Must be available for calls during business hours in US time zones.
