Role Overview:

As Warehouse Technician you will direct all distribution operations, overseeing inventory systems, warehouse organization, shipments, and supplier relations. You'll use logistics best practices to maintain and improve our warehouse using hands-on strategies. Successful candidates for this role will be enthusiastic go-getters and self-starters who take initiative in identifying projects and consistently follow through with determination and diligence. Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of our distribution operations, including shipping, receiving & organization
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory management and reduce costs
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments end-to-end
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock levels are adequate to meet customer demands
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
  • Implement and enforce warehouse safety and security policies and procedures
  • Maintain warehouse spaces to ensure cleanliness and organization, ensuring a safe and productive work environment
  • Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate staging and delivery of ongoing projects
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management
  • Ensure local will-call pickup and delivery
  • Resolve any order discrepancies and communicate delays
  • Build relationships with shipping companies and negotiate cost-effective contracts

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Valid CA driver's license and clean driving record
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to follow safety protocols is critical
  • Knowledge of home technology, automation equipment, and wiring practices is a strong plus
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and inventory software
  • Knowledge of Odoo, DTools, UPS WorldShip, and FedEx Ship Manager preferred


Physical Requirements:

This position requires candidates to meet specific physical demands to ensure the efficient and safe execution of tasks. Candidates should be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, stand and walk for extended periods while navigating through the warehouse, and climb ladders and stairs to access storage areas. Stooping, kneeling, and bending are also essential for reaching items on lower shelves and performing ground-level tasks. Manual dexterity for handling items and operating warehouse equipment, good vision, hearing, and personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance are crucial for safety. The ability to work in varying temperatures is a must. Maintaining physical endurance, fitness, and the ability to collaborate with the team in physically demanding tasks are essential aspects of this role.
