Duties/Responsibilities:

·  Completes all carpentry work with a high level of attention to detail and craftsmanship.

·  Provides expertise carpentry skills for residential remodeling projects such as building and installing cabinets and custom built-ins. 

·  Reads blueprints, design drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements of project(s).

·  Takes measurements and calculates the size and amount of material needed and procures materials.

·  Cuts, shapes and smooths lumber and other materials (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements and design drawings.

·  Assists Project Manager with all daily tasks on remodeling project(s).

·  Provides all standard tools daily including, but not limited to, miter box, table saw, nail guns, etc.

·  Provides reliable transportation as public transportation isn’t always feasible, must be punctual at all times.

·  Maintains a clean worksite daily and shows care and concern while on project sites.

·  Follows all safety rules and reports any safety issues to manager immediately.

Required Skills/Abilities, Education and Experience:

·  10+ years experience in residential remodeling carpentry including framing, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, etc.

·  Knowledge of carpentry including, but not limited to, cabinetry, installations, built-ins, etc. with an emphasis on finish.

·  Able to do framing and trim at an intermediate/expertise level. 

·  Knowledge/familiarity of painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. 

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include customer service skills.

·  Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to include design plans.

·  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·  Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.

·  Ability to function well and succeed in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Physical Requirements:

·  Adapt to different working environments/weather conditions including stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, walking & lifting.

·  Must be able to lift 50+ pounds at times.

·  Ability to climb ladders.
