We are Fairbanks owned and managed, we have a pulse on what our staff and community needs and our loyalties lie with our patients, team, and fellow healthcare referral partners. There is no "corporate" creating or updating policies that often negatively impact staff and patients. We've been around since 1988, the first privately PT owned and operated Outpatient PT clinic in the Fairbanks/North Pole area and have strong ties to the community. We have a large private outpatient PT facility with over 6000 square foot of space, including 5 private treatment rooms and 3 separate gym areas.

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Verifying insurance benefits and communicating cost to patient
  • Requesting insurance authorizations for various insurance plans
  • Greets persons entering the facility in a friendly manner/checks in patients and collects co-pays
  • Schedules new and additional appointments with patients to maintain a full treatment schedule
  • Operates phone/voicemail, copier, fax machine, scanner, printer, and computer
  • Calls all new patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and what to bring and expect and text reminders to current patients
  • Creates and maintains each patient’s electronic medical record
  • Prepares appropriate materials and patient information for next workday
  • Responsible for tracking and immediately contacting patients that cancels or do not show
  • Handles all protected health information discreetly according to HIPAA
  • Keeps the reception area and clinic neat and orderly
  • Assist with tracking of Plan of Care for patients and productivity statistics such as number of new patients, patient visits seen, and cancellations for each day
  • Assist with laundry and restocking rooms
  • Records requests


Minimum Experience and Requirements:


  • Previous office experience required, basic knowledge of insurance language
  • Excellent communication skills especially over the phone
  • Must be very organized, detail oriented, and able to follow directions well
  • Must be friendly and professional when talking to people who come into contact with our office
  • Ability to operate spreadsheets and Google Workplace


Weekly Commitment


  • Monday- Thursday 10am -5:00pm
  • Friday 10am - 3pm
  • With occasional flexibility to work additional hours when needed to cover time off

Salary

$19 - $22 per hour
