Paralegal in Downtown Atlanta
The ideal candidate will be professional, work well with others in small teams, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to assist attorneys in all stages of litigation. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, drafting legal documents, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Manage client/firm deadlines, tracking substantive matter developments; case investigation and support
*Conduct research to support legal proceedings
*Record and store client information
*Assist attorneys in managing all aspects of litigation
*Assist with drafting legal documents, including but not limited to complaints, answers, motions, and discovery
*Organize and electronically file pleadings
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
*Effective written and verbal communication skills
*Knowledge of Georgia Civil procedure rules
*Proven analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
*Familiarity with performing research using Lexis-Nexis
*Ability to prioritize urgent projects and meet deadlines
*Ability to effectively multi-task under time-sensitive deadlines and support multiple Attorneys
*2+ years of continual Paralegal experience
*Pay will be based on experience
