Key Duties:

1. Applies basic working knowledge while using diagnostic equipment to evaluate basic mechanical problems in vehicles.
2. Under close supervision, services vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule. Rotates and balances tires; changes oil and filters; lubricates vehicle parts; inspects and replaces hoses, belts, mirrors, lamps; and maintain all fluid levels.
3. Makes emergency calls as assigned by supervisors when vehicles have problems in the field.
4. Performs preventive maintenance, including bleeding of air tanks, on shop equipment according to established schedules.
