HVAC Foreman Job Description
Must Haves:
- ERP Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Universal Certification (Types I, II, III)
- Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record (must meet liability coverage eligibility)
- Fingerprinting background check with a non-refundable fee (~$50)
Preferred:
- Supervisory experience in mechanical maintenance or construction industries
- Experience in K-12 school construction/maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Supervise HVAC workgroups, electronic controls, and assigned helpers
- Ensure compliance with HVAC codes and regulatory policies
- Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work orders
- Maintain reports, records, and documentation
- Lead with integrity, teamwork, and a student-centered focus
Skills:
- Knowledge of Energy Management Systems and Building Automation Systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities
Working Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to temperature and humidity extremes, occasional exposure to biological hazards
- Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, climbing, lifting (15-44 lbs), repetitive hand motions
