Key Duties: 

1. Ensure the on-time and safe delivery of all students everyday
2. Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate student transportation systems and vehicle maintenance programs for the District.
3. Ensure development and supervision of transportation routes for local, special education mid-day runs, after school programs, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and McKinney student school routes.
4. Maintain bus driver employee and staffing pools to ensure that all transportation routes are covered on both calendar and non-calendar days.
5. Oversee vehicle maintenance and parts warehouse for buses and district white fleet.
6. Ensure compliance with district, state and national policies and procedures regarding transportation and vehicle maintenance issues.
7. Prepare all required district and state reports and applications as needed.
8. Prepare and administer assigned budgets and payroll systems.
9. Maintain accountability and reporting of all fixed assets inventory including vehicles and equipment.
10. Oversee annual preparation and delivery of department employee evaluations.
11. Develop, maintain, and use department databases and software to show progress/improvement on department goals and objectives.
