Director of Global Product Quality Assurance Control and Compliance

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Global Product Quality Assurance Control and Compliance to oversee all aspects of product quality and regulatory compliance for our global consumer goods operations, with a particular focus on the US, UK, and EU markets.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global regulatory requirements for consumer goods, including:

• US: FDA, CPSC, FTC
• UK: UKCA marking, RoHS, REACH
• EU: REACH, CLP

This is an on-site position with one hybrid-remote day on Wednesdays.

Quality Assurance:

• Develops and implements quality assurance programs and procedures.
• Oversees quality control processes, including inspections, testing, and analysis.
• Monitors product performance and identifies areas for improvement.
• Ensures that products meet specific quality standards and specifications.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stays up-to-date on relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Ensures that products comply with all applicable regulations, including safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Conducts regular audits to identify and address compliance gaps.
• Manages product certifications and registrations.

Supplier Quality Management:

• Evaluates and qualifies suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Monitors supplier performance and takes corrective action as needed.
• Manages supplier relationships and contracts.

Root Cause Analysis:

• Investigate product failures and defects.
• Identifies root causes and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve product quality.

Customer Complaints:

• Manages and resolves customer complaints related to product quality.
• Analyzes customer feedback to identify trends and implement improvements.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in global product quality assurance and compliance for consumer goods.
• In-depth knowledge of US, UK, and EU regulations for consumer goods.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
• Experience in product testing and certification.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the consumer goods industry, with a preference for experience in pet supplements, textiles, and human supplements.
