EMT/CNA/LVN - Mobile Occupational Technician

Description

Do you have a passion for helping others and the confidence to take charge in critical moments? Are you ready to independently manage and treat minor injuries in a fast-paced industrial environment?


As part of our team, you will:

  • Answer and triage calls from our injury hotline
  • Triage and provide advice to injured workers through telemedicine consultations
  • Travel to the job site of injured workers to provide treatment, adhering to OSHA's First Aid Guidelines as needed
  • We aim to provide excellent injury care by treating as many injuries on-site as possible


* This specific post may include some travel to other job sites, but will most often involve caring for injuries at one consistent job site in San Rafael, CA.

We're looking for EMTs, CNAs, LVNs, or those with a solid medical background who feel confident in providing first aid care independently and professionally. All new hires will go through a training module to understand how to treat workplace injuries under the OSHA guidelines for first aid.

 

First Aid can include:

- Cleaning minor cuts, scrapes, or scratches

- Treating minor burns

- Applying compressive bandages and dressings

- Recommending the use of non-prescription medicine

- Draining blisters

- Removing debris from the eyes

-Massaging muscle strains

-Applying the concept of R.I.C.E. to muscle injuries


Requirements

  • Preferable - Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying
  • Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
  • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Great time management
  • Driver's License and ability to drive upwards of 2 hours
  • Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigating cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software
  • A reliable vehicle
  • Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
  • Be willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are
  • Document findings and treatments accurately and succinctly.


It's a Plus If

• You are comfortable working in different environments

• You have relevant occupational health experience
