Position Overview
White Tie Productions is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to help develop thoughtful visual identities and translate those into visuals for live events and conferences. We are looking for an experienced designer who can study and absorb a brand, understand the creative objective, brainstorm with a team, then build a distinct visual world around it for each show.
You will collaborate with our Creative and A/V Production teams to develop graphic content that can extend across large-format screens, support event scenic environments, and other event assets.
Much of the work will eventually be translated into motion. You do not need to be the primary motion designer. You should understand how designs impact motion and create layered, intentional artwork that gives animators strong material to work with.
What You'll Do
- Translate brand guidelines in tandem with creative conversations into still visuals (within programs like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Develop key art, style still frames, title treatments, backgrounds, textures, typography systems, and image treatments.
- Design graphics with animation, transitions, screen environments, and visual continuity in mind.
- Create organized, editable files that can be passed confidently to motion designers and other members of the Creative Team (we love us some vector files).
- Collaborate actively during brainstorms, design reviews, and early concept development.
- Present ideas clearly and explain the thinking behind design decisions.
- Balance ambitious creative ideas with production timelines and technical requirements.
- Opportunities to support live events and video shoots.

- A portfolio demonstrating strong typography, composition, image treatment, and visual storytelling.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- An understanding of how still designs will eventually translate into motion.
- Experience creating entertainment, event, or other high-energy branded graphics.
- Strong file organization and attention to detail.
- The confidence to communicate, ask questions, offer ideas, and participate in collaborative brainstorms.
- Reliability, follow-through, and the ability to work efficiently within real production timelines while maintaining strong design judgement.
- A team-first mindset with the ability to execute independently.
