At White Tie Productions, we put the creative vision back into Audio Visual production. Our job is to take our client’s strategic vision and turn it into an A/V experience they will never forget. As a small business, we are looking for creative minds who enjoy a variety of different responsibilities to create events that are outside the box.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced designer who can study and absorb a brand, understand the creative objective, brainstorm with a team, then build a distinct visual world around it for each show.

You will collaborate with our Creative and A/V Production teams to develop graphic content that can extend across large-format screens, support event scenic environments, and other event assets.

Much of the work will ultimately be motion graphics. You will be expected to bring designs to life through animation and motion. You should understand how design and motion work together and create layered, intentional artwork built with animation in mind.

What You'll Do

• Translate brand guidelines and creative direction into dynamic visual content using tools like Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Develop motion graphics, animated key art, title treatments, transitions, backgrounds, typography systems, and other visual elements for live events and conferences
• Design and animate graphics for large-format screens and event environments with pacing, movement, transitions, and visual continuity in mind.
• Create organized, editable project files and layered assets that can be easily adapted, revised, and shared across the Creative Team (we love us some vector files).
• Collaborate actively during brainstorms, design reviews, and early concept development.
• Present ideas clearly and explain the thinking behind design decisions.
• Balance ambitious creative ideas with production timelines and technical requirements.
• Opportunities to support live events and video shoots.

Where + When

• Based in Phoenix, AZ (HQ)
• Primarily in-office, with potential (not guaranteed) hybrid flexibility
• Standard hours: Mon-Fri, 9AM-5PM
• Hours flex with project demands

Compensation + Benefits Package

• Annual Salary paid bi-weekly
• Subsidized Health Care (75% of Employee Premium paid by WTP)
• Cell Phone Stipend ($50 Monthly)
• Personal Travel Reimbursement ($500 Annually)

What We're Looking For:

• A portfolio demonstrating strong typography, composition, image treatment, and visual storytelling.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
• An understanding of how good still designs translate into motion.
• Experience creating entertainment, event, or other high-energy branded graphics.
• Strong file organization and attention to detail.
• The confidence to communicate, ask questions, offer ideas, and participate in collaborative brainstorms.
• Reliability, follow-through, and the ability to work efficiently within real production timelines while maintaining strong design judgement.
• A team-first mindset with the ability to execute independently.

Required Technical Skills

• Adobe After Effects - intermediate to advanced proficiency
• Adobe Illustrator - intermediate to advanced proficiency
• Adobe Photoshop - intermediate to advanced proficiency

Preferred Technical Skills

• Adobe InDesign, particularly for printwork.
• Cinema 4D, Blender, or another 3D platform.
