Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Identify target markets and segments to focus sales efforts effectively.
- Team Leadership and Management
- Recruit, train, coach and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide guidance, and mentor team members for professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales team.
- Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue generation through the acquisition of new customers and upselling/cross-selling to existing clients.
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Market Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs within the human resources sector
- Use market insights to refine sales strategies, identify new opportunities, and address emerging challenges.
- Sales Process Optimization
- Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement sales technologies and tools to streamline workflows and enhance sales productivity.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Sales Performance Metrics
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and the performance of the sales team.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales metrics to the executive team.
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with finance and executive leadership.
- Monitor and adjust sales strategies based on actual performance against forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role for an enterprise B2B SaaS sales organization.
- Required sales experience selling into C-suite, specifically CFO and CHRO or CPO leaders. Recommended but not required to have experience working with benefit brokers in the sales process.
- Must have at least 5 years experience leading a team with a minimum of five sales representatives
- Strongly recommended to have sales experience in either HR tech, payroll, healthcare, employee benefits or similar.
- Must have experience working in a startup or early stage technology company
- Proven track record of direct impact on significant revenue growth
- Self-sufficient leader that is KPI-driven
- Excellent skills in developing sales campaigns and growing the sales pipeline
- Highly skilled in using Salesforce and recommended experience with Zoom Info or similar platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working remote and using web-based meetings with our team, our partners and clients.
- Must be well-organized and ability to prioritize own tasks and guide priorities for the sales team

Remote but based in the Greater Chicago area, with monthly travel for conferences and occasional client meetings and/or prospecting.
