Western Slope Pilates is looking for a personable, friendly, dedicated, passionate, and experienced Pilates Instructor to join our team and help carry out our motto: Feel Good. Be good. We are looking for an instructor who’s work ethic aligns with our mission to provide an unparalleled Pilates experience, offering certified and skilled instruction in a beautiful, fully equipped, polished and peaceful studio environment, where each Pilates lesson provides a high-quality workout with personalized instruction focusing the client’s body and goals. In alignment with Western Slope Pilates’ contemporary approach, while incorporating the classical teachings of Joseph Pilates, we are looking for an instructor who has a comprehensive knowledge in classical and contemporary Pilates, utilizing the ever-evolving exercise science and physiology in their Pilates sessions. This approach requires training/experience in therapeutic/rehabilitative techniques. It is important that the Pilates instructor has an excellent working knowledge of all apparatus and has a strong desire to continue their education. And just as importantly they must also be an all-around kind, compassionate and vibrant person who is excited to be part of an inclusive, and FUN studio community!
Description
Required Experience:
- One + year teaching experience
- Comprehensive Pilates Instructor Certification (i.e., BASI, STOTT, Polestar, Peak, Balanced Body, etc.)
- Dedicated to & consistent w/ personal Pilates practice
- Prioritizes and maintains personal fitness and nutrition practices
- Current CPR/AED Certification
- Confidence and experience teaching clients with a wide-range of needs and goals, ranging from pre- and post-surgery, athletic cross-training, chronic conditions/pain, working around injuries, prenatal and postpartum, and overall functional movement.
- Training/experience in therapeutic/rehabilitative approaches.
- Training/experience or sincere interest in functional biomechanics.
- Experience or ability to learn Vagaro scheduling/POS software.
- Superb communication and social skills, in and outside of the studio. The communities including & between GWS-Battlement Mesa are small. It’s important to maintain a pleasant personable relationship not only within the studio’s walls, but outside as well.

Responsibilities include:
- Conducting private, semi-private, and small group Pilates sessions
- Tailoring each session to the client(s) in front of you
- Self-promotion/marketing to keep your classes filled
- Being present to and finding creative and safe approaches to accommodate any modifications, adjustments, cues, or omissions clients may need during their sessions
- Fostering a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging studio environment
- Selling studio products with studio POS system
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe studio
- Being punctual and dedicated
- Attending monthly teacher meetings/in-services
- Completing yearly continuing education
- Assisting with and/or attending events outside of studio class schedule and/or studio location
Additional Responsibilities:
- Make sure class begins and ends at scheduled time. If necessary, make adjustments to the flow of the class to ensure adherence to the schedule.
- Attend all required staff meetings as necessary
- Prepare any incident and/or witness reports as necessary in the event of an accident
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards his/her responsibilities, fellow employees, and members
Job Type: Part-time
Equipment Class Pay Rate = $30-$40 per hour - $3.33 increase for each additional client
Private/Semi-Private Pay Rate = Commission 50/50
