Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Full-Time or Part-Time available!

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will be at the center of our surgical operations—supporting patients through every stage of care while ensuring safety, precision, and compassion. This role blends technical expertise with meaningful impact, working alongside veterinarians and a dedicated team to provide efficient, humane, and professional care in a fast-paced environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Oversee pre-, peri-, and post-operative care for high-volume surgical patients
  • Monitor anesthesia, track vital signs, and respond confidently to medical changes or emergencies
  • Assist veterinarians during surgery and perform technical tasks such as catheter placement and sample analysis
  • Safely handle and document controlled substances with accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate clearly with clients, providing discharge instructions and education
  • Train veterinary assistants and volunteers on patient care protocols and best practices


What You’ll Bring

You are a licensed veterinary technician in Washington State with strong clinical skills and a calm, focused approach under pressure. You communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues, and you take pride in delivering high standards of care. You’re detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of making sound decisions in dynamic situations.

  • Active LVT license in good standing (Washington State)
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia, patient monitoring, and animal handling
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and compassionate care
  • Preferred but not required: Spanish language skills and/or prior shelter or clinical experience

Work Environment

This is a highly active, hands-on role requiring extended periods of standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs. with assistance), bending, and working in clinical and surgical settings. You’ll be exposed to medical equipment, cleaning agents, and potentially challenging animal behaviors. The environment can be fast-paced and emotionally demanding, requiring resilience, focus, and adaptability.

Salary

$26 - $30 per hour
