As our Development Coordinator, you’ll help fuel the fundraising and donor engagement efforts that make compassionate animal welfare work possible throughout our community.

The Development Coordinator supports the development team in meeting the organization’s financial goals through thoughtful donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, events, and strong behind-the-scenes coordination. Reporting to the Development Director, this role combines relationship-building, organization, communication, and attention to detail to help strengthen our donor community and expand support for our mission.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain accurate donor records and track donations, pledges, sponsorships, and fundraising revenue.
• Support fundraising campaigns and events, including logistics, materials, invitations, and coordination with internal teams.
• Help identify and engage prospective donors, sponsors, and supporters through research and outreach.
• Create solicitation letters, proposals, acknowledgments, reports, and other fundraising communications.
• Provide timely, personalized donor recognition and help cultivate lasting relationships with supporters.
• Assist with fundraising budgets, expense reconciliation, and other administrative needs that keep development activities running smoothly.

What You’ll Bring

You’re organized, collaborative, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail. You communicate effectively in writing and in person, enjoy building relationships, and can work confidently with donors, volunteers, business partners, and colleagues. You’ll bring a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of nonprofit experience, and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, donor management databases, and related software.

Preferred, but not required: Bilingual English/Spanish skills and previous fundraising experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that is primarily desk- and office-based, with active involvement in fundraising events and meetings. The role requires regular communication and collaboration with donors, volunteers, colleagues, and community partners. Candidates must be able to pass a Washington State Patrol background check and have or be able to obtain a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
