Our team of physicians works to provide whole-person, full-scope care across the healthcare continuum. We have the privilege of following our patients from the womb to the tomb with the resources to provide a wide range of services, including OB/GYN care, pediatric care, inpatient hospital care, acute care, behavioral health care, and everything in between. Our physicians share call weeks equally rotating a week on call at a time in which they average 2-3 obstetric deliveries a week and an average medicine census of 2-4 inpatients per day. 

Our private practice, located in rural Oakland MD, leverages the best of both worlds encompassing practice in our beautiful four season, Appalachian mountain town while being only a few hours from large East Coast amenities including areas like Washington DC, and Pittsburgh.

Position Overview: 

We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Family Medicine OB/GYN Physician to join our growing team and help us continue our mission of providing exceptional healthcare in our community. 

As a Family Medicine OB/GYN Physician at Wellspring Family Medicine, you will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive care for obstetric and gynecological patients, along with family medicine and pediatric services. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, build lasting relationships with patients, and have a direct impact on the health and well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care - prenatal visits, labor management including C-sections, assisted vaginal and spontaneous vaginal deliveries, postnatal care, and outpatient gynecological services.
• Manage a full range of family medicine care, including annual check-ups, chronic disease management, preventative care, and health screenings.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to colposcopies, IUD insertions, and skin excisions.
• Counsel patients on family planning, contraceptive options, and reproductive health.
• Foster long-term relationships with patients, promoting wellness and disease prevention.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities.
