Role Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Analyst – Financial Analysis to join our Product Operations team supporting our client teams with data analysis and financial controls.  

 

Reporting and Location:   

This position will report to Vice President of Product Operations and be based in Charlotte NC. Remote work will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  

 

Responsibilities 

  • Analyze healthcare data and generate useful business insights.  
  • Create models to identify trends and root causes of healthcare performance. 
  • Develop and deliver analyses and reports to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Work with Product Operations and Customer Success teams to identify savings opportunity areas for external stakeholders.  
  • Track the performance of Health Plan initiatives for external stakeholders and proactively identify ways to improve performance.   
  • Combine quantitative data with qualitative data (e.g., Health Plan contracts) to help internal and external stakeholders understand the relationship between claims data and broader Health Plan decisions.  
  • Work with management team to structure an analytic environment that supports ongoing problem-solving.  
  • Communicate directly with client stakeholders (present findings, problem solve issues and solutions). 
  • Mentor team members, imparting industry best practices and fostering skill development. 
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the entire suite of Wellnecity solutions.  
  • Work with the Product Operations Team to refine and roll out financial controls. 
  • Provide financial support for finance projects, based on need.  

 

Required Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years relevant work experience required, Master’s preferred. 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with data modeling/analytics specifically.   
  • Strong analytics and data skills including solid training in statistics and/or data analysis, understanding of data management and visualization, ability to interpret and present findings. 
  • Minimum 2 years of financial analysis experience in the healthcare setting (e.g., familiarity with profit loss statements, healthcare audit, breakeven analysis) 
  • Experience with key financial healthcare concepts such as healthcare economics, pricing models, and reimbursement systems for self-insured health plans (e.g., payment integrity, invoice reconciliation, contract terms, stop loss) 
  • Expert SQL user and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).  
  • Experience working in a matrix organization, coordinating cross-functionally with customer success, data, and product teams. 
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and ambiguous environments. 
  • Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Excel and Power Point. 

 

Nice-to-Have Experience: 

  • CPA license is a plus. 
  • ERP/Financial Software: Experience with QBO and Financial planning tools is a plus.  
  • Experience with project management tools preferred (e.g., Jira, Confluence)  
  • Project management experience with ability to effectively identify what's important and effectively prioritize competing projects.  

 

Salary

$82,000 - $88,000 per year
