We will hire 4-6 individuals for this role. Those with leadership experience may be eligible to be a team leader. We will schedule interviews with potential applicants soon after we receive your application.

Purpose:

Help provide childcare in a safe, fun, learning environment while parents attend English class.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise children (ages vary) at all times and ensure safety.
• Lead age-appropriate play, crafts, story time, and quiet activities.
• Help with snack setup/cleanup and basic tidying of the childcare area.
• Communicate respectfully with parents and program staff.
• Follow childcare policies (sign-in/out, emergency procedures).
• Report any incidents or concerns to supervising staff immediately.

Qualifications

• Teen applicants welcome (preferably 15+).
• Reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.
• Comfortable caring for young children; prior babysitting or camp experience a plus.
• Ability to work with people from many different cultures.
• English required; Dari, Persian (Farsi), and Pashto speakers strongly encouraged.
• Must pass background check and complete any required training.
• Transportation not provided.

Schedule

Fridays 9:30 - 12:30

Possibly Tuesdays 9:30 - 11:30 also.

Start Date

June 19, 2026 for initial training, then every Friday July 10 - August 28.

Pay

You will receive a stipend at the end of the summer. Pay rate: $15.00/hour.
