TradeBlock is expanding rapidly and we are looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our React Native development team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for rebuilding our application using React Native and React Native Web. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in building applications with React Native, with working experience in, Expo, Solito, Next.JS, Native Base, Reanimated/Moti and GraphQL. Ideally, you will also have experience working with Swift on iOS and Java on Android. 

Requirements:

 

• 4+ years of experience developing JavasScript based software
• 3+ years of experience working with React and React native
• Working knowledge of Next.JS react framework
• Extensive knowledge of Node.JS
• Work experience RESTful APIs, GraphQL
• Experienced with building and using reusable components 
• Experience or desire working in a small team, fast-paced startup atmosphere
• Working experience with Expo

Responsibilities:

 

• Focus on developing and maintaining our new mono repo React Native app for iOS, Android, and Web.
• Assist in debugging production issues across the application stack
• Maintain, modify and extend the existing Native Base component library with custom styling implementation
• Work on implementing animations, and gestures logic
• Collaborate with product managers during daily standup, grooming, and clarification sessions as part of an agile process
• Collaborate with other engineers on day to day work and activities
• Share and apply knowledge between other team members
• Help improve standards, tooling, and processes

 

 

Nice to haves:

 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Familiar with various approaches to stress testing for scale
• Experience with Algolia AI search engine 
• Experience with CI/CD automation for mobile apps and web
• Passion for sneakers, aka a sneakerhead
