What You’ll Do

In this role you have the flexibility to work when the schedule suites you. We are looking for talented hospitality professionals to join our team as part-time Event Servers. Events can include onsite private events, WeRise hosted events, and offsite events including tradeshows and conferences. We use a scheduling system to let you know when shifts are available. 

Your Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner
• Setup and breakdown of event space, can include transportation of materials to event
• Provide exceptional service to guests during events, including wine and food service
• Engage customers in storytelling about wineries and WeRise Wines accurately representing the brand
• Possess strong knowledge of wine to provide excellent recommendations and storytelling
• Efficiently serve food and beverages, ensuring timely delivery
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even under pressure
• Work collaboratively with the event team to ensure seamless execution

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an event server or server in a restaurant or bar setting.
• Strong knowledge of wine and spirits, including basic wine tasting and pairing techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid MAST permit
• Valid food workers permit
• TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Passion for wine and a desire to share that passion with others.
• Age 21+
