This includes scheduling, studio staff payroll, retail management, food/beverage ordering management and studio supply ordering. The Operations Manager works 4-5 MOD shifts a week. In conjunction with MOD shifts, The Operations Manager works during and outside normal business hours to complete the administrative tasks.

Job Summary:

 

The Operations Manager is the main point of contact for the studio and oversees all

things operational. This role is a training role for the Studio Manager. The Operations

Manager works closely with the Head of Operations for administrative tasks including

scheduling, studio staff payroll, retail management, food/beverage ordering

management, hiring, and studio supply ordering . The Operations Manager works 4-5

MOD shifts a week. In conjunction with MOD shifts, The Operations Manager works

during and outside normal business hours to complete the administrative tasks. The

Operations Manager reports to the Head of Operations.


Key Responsibilities of the Job

Product

  • Organize the retail back of house to maximize efficiency and internal shrink
  • Fold, sort and hang product according to protocol to optimize sell through
  • Tag all necessary products with GritCycle retail tags
  • Complete weekly inventory counts every Friday by noon
  • Remerches inventory weekly to keep assortment fresh for clients
  • Maintain studio BOH retail organization to increase studio efficiency
  • Implements any company wide sale initiatives


Working with Others (Staff and Community)

  • Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment to ensure a supportive and engaging experience for all team member and clients
  • Responsible for studio communication procedures and protocols in customer service including emails, phone calls, and voicemails
  • Effectively communicates with Studio staff any company requests within the company communication platform
  • Establish supportive and productive relationships with managers and team members
  • Oversees Team Member performance and communicates any issues to Head of Operations
  • Responsible for Team Member and MOD bi-annual review as well as ongoing performance management (Write ups and action plans)
  • Proactively identify and address conflicts within your studio
  • Build and foster relationships in your studio, with your instructors, staff, and local community
  • Provide in the moment support to your team to ensure that all rider requests are addressed
  • Cultivate a culture of hospitality within your studio and inspire the team to uphold high hospitality standards
  • Continuously identify and develop high potential employees


Operations

  • Complete staff scheduling in accordance with GritCycle’s scheduling protocol
  • Submit staff payroll within 24 hours of the pay period ending (Unless otherwise

requested by HR/ Payroll Manager)

  • Hires and onboards new Team Members and MODs
  • Attends monthly and weekly meetings requested by Head of Operations
  • Attends continuing education trainings with Head of Operations
  • Responsible for weekly expense management
  • Order studio supplies while staying within budget
  • Orders food and beverage and maintains inventory accuracy
  • Ensure staff and cleaning crew are operating within the facility standards and

meeting expected deadlines

  • Creates solutions for gaps in studio operations
  • Oversees bike maintenance and preventative maintenance is being carried out

efficiently

  • Use Mariana Tek to support studio operations
  • Ensure that Loss Prevention Practices are being implemented within the studio
  • Is careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • In charge of executing Studio Fundraising Event details issued by Head of Operations
  • Purchases and sets up decor, food and beverage while staying within budget
  • Secures vendors for Event Days
  • Point of contact on Event Days for all vendors and pop ups

Eligibility

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to attest to employment authorization
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have employment eligibility and identity documents
  • Must have the ability to travel to studios and headquarters with their own transportation methods
  • Must have superior customer service and hospitality skills
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Strong ability to communicate with team members, clients, and senior management
  • Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset and ability to execute within the company’s standards in any situation


Availability

  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings or late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have the ability to attend one Studio Manager meeting per month at various locations
  • Must schedule and lead quarterly staff meetings within your studio
  • Must schedule and lead monthly MOD Meetings
  • Must be available on Fridays to complete studio operational week-end tasks
  • Must work 4 MOD shifts a week and be available to work at least one weekend shift a week
  • Available to attend continuing education with Head of Operations


Other Willingness Requirements

  • Willing to work in an environment with bright lights and loud music
  • Willing to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Willing to move boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg)
  • Willing to work as part of a team and also complete some work independently


Job Assets (i.e., nice to have; not required)

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience with Mariana Tek
