This role focuses on providing outpatient therapy to a diverse clientele (adolescents, adults, couples, and families) within a framework of social justice, trauma-informed care, and fat liberation.

Position Overview

Clinical therapists provide outpatient individual, couples and family therapy to patients of Wayfinder Counseling. Clinical therapy services include treatment of  adolescents, adults, couples and families.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform remote and onsite clinical counseling services to patients of Wayfinder Counseling as scheduled and in accordance with company policies.  
  • Maintain proper licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics which are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Wayfinder Counseling.
  • Respond to patient requests for service or calls within 24 hours, whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Wayfinder Counseling website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients.  
  • Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Wayfinder Counseling.
  • Completion of written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Wayfinder Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). 
  • Maintain up to date and accurate patient files at all times.
  • Along with Wayfinder Counseling billing staff, ensure payments are charged and collected within a timely manner from patients for services provided, consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Wayfinder Counseling. 
  • Foster a collaborative environment and maintain respectful, cooperative relationships with coworkers and colleagues. 
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Wayfinder Counseling.
  • Maintain respectful, cooperative and collaborative relationships with co-workers.
  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and
  • Active, unrestricted license (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, LMHCA, LMFTA or LSWAIC) in the State of Washington.  A copy must be provided to Wayfinder Counseling.
  • Available to hold at least 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Wayfinder Counseling.
  • Be punctual to work for scheduled appointments and shifts.
  • Be organized and detail oriented.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in a private practice setting is highly preferred.
  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.).
  • Current approval as an in-network provider with BCBS (highly preferred).

  • Able to work in our Mukilteo office for in-person therapy services 2-3 times a week.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive compensation – W2 Position 
  • $48/clinical hour for associate level clinicians 
  • $58/clinical hour for fully licensed clinicians   
  • $71/hr for providing clinical supervision
  • $21/hr for administrative tasks including paperwork, meetings and clinical supervision.

Salary

$48 - $48 per hour
