Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual who possesses knowledge of system engineering fundamentals to work in our IT department. This Systems Engineer will provide practical experience in the field of information technology and contribute to Wave Welcome’s IT infrastructure support capabilities. In this position, you will assist in supporting our internal infrastructure and provide similar support to our clients.

This team member will also be responsible for leading technical research & development activities within our organization. In turn, you will gain valuable experience and be part of deploying new B2B and B2C Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms.

Responsibilities:

As a Systems Engineer at Wave Welcome, you will be responsible for:

·      Developing enhancements for Wave Welcome’s existing product platforms.

·      Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure).

·      Defining customers’ needs and functionality in a service development cycle.

·      Leading the coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best output.

·      Installing, configuring, and testing operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

·      Ensuring the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.

·      Implementing warranty and support activities.

·      Evaluating the existing systems and providing technical direction to IT support staff.

·      Planning and implementing system automation as required for better efficiency.

·      Overseeing the development of customized software and hardware requirements.

·      Collaborating with industry partners and technical professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.

·      Dealing with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.

Preference(s):

•       3-5 years of experience in IT, cloud computing, and/or cybersecurity support or completed equivalent college coursework.

•       Previous on-campus work and/or internship experience in IT support, cloud computing and/or cybersecurity.

•       AWS and Microsoft certifications are a plus.
