Waste Solutions of Iowa (WSI) is currently seeking a Roll-Off Driver who is ready to join our growing team. This position has the principal responsibility of operating a company truck and driving to various locations to do any or all of the following: deliver, remove, and haul roll-off containers to/from customer’s sites. This position may require driving in congested and/or confined areas. Technicians are required to enter/exit the truck several times per day and may also need to climb to hook/unhook containers, move items to smooth loads, and to secure tarps. Roll-Off Drivers are exposed to extreme weather conditions and unpleasant odors and sights. Hours and physical demands may vary by task. WSI is a team environment, and at any time a Roll-Off Driver may be asked to help in a different department with different tasks. *Sign-on Bonus included*

Core Responsibilities

·      Operate trucks in a safe manner, in compliance with company policies, and with all local, state, and federal regulations.

·      Perform and submit daily pre- and post-trips on truck. Major concerns should be directed to the Brand Manager as soon as possible.

·      Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and General Standards.

·      Perform all tasks assigned by the Branch Manager, including but not limited to, responding to trouble/emergency calls in a timely manner.

·      Drive a roll-off truck along designated commercial and residential routes to mechanically collect construction debris and take it to a designated disposal site.

·      Clean loose trash and debris off truck and/or ground around truck and container that spills during dumping process to maintain a clean customer site and safety along roads and highways.

·      Follow dispatching software. Follow routes, take photos, call customers as necessary, and leave notes on the status of stops, assets, or any discussions with customers.

·      Ensure customers are satisfied with the quality of our service and that we meet expectations. All contact is to be documented within our dispatching system.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Strong commitment to integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Current valid Driver’s License required; CDL is a plus.


Salary

$21 - $27 per hour
