Waste Solutions of Iowa (WSI) is currently seeking a Grease Service Technician who is ready to join our growing team. This position has the responsibility of operating a company vehicle and driving to various locations to do any or all of the following: Service customer Grease Traps and Interceptors and perform Line Jetting services. This position may require driving in congested and/or confined areas. Grease Service Technicians are exposed to extreme weather conditions and unpleasant odors and sights. Hours and physical demands may vary by task. WSI is a team environment, and at any time a Grease Service Technician may be asked to help in a different department with different tasks. Eligible candidate(s) may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Description

Core Responsibilities:

·      Service customer grease traps and interceptors at commercial sites.

·systems.

·      Utilize dispatching software for routing, to take photos, logging customer issues, and completing job notes.

·      Accurately measure grease traps and interceptors during service visits.

·      Submit all required paperwork, including job reports and customer payments, to the office at the end of each shift.

·      Provide feedback on route efficiency and opportunities for service improvement.

·      Operate company vehicles in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies.


Qualifications & Requirements:

·      Current Valid Class B CDL

·      Reliable transportation to and from WSI’s central office location in Des Moines.

·      Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record Check (clean driving record preferred).

·      Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

·      Proven ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of productivity and safety.

·      Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality service.

·      Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

·      Basic understanding of plumbing or wastewater systems is a plus but not required – training will be provided.

Salary

$23 - $26 per hour
