Position Overview

The Director – Finance & Accounting will lead and optimize the company’s financial and operational functions, playing a pivotal role in strategic decision-making and driving growth. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in finance and operations management with expertise in systems such as NetSuite and Shopify.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy and Leadership (40%)
• Lead, develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Present financial analysis to the executive team and stakeholders to guide key decisions.
• Research, pursue, and implement business financing strategies (Lines of Credit, Asset Based Lending (ABLs), Debt, Equity, Etc.) in order to fulfill the needs of the business.
• Leverage supply chain terms to optimize the cash flow of the business.
• Operational Excellence (30%)
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient supply chain management and production processes.
• Implement operational best practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and optimize use of resources.
• Technology and Systems Management (20%)
• Leverage and optimize NetSuite for financial and operational reporting and workflows.
• Integrate Shopify for seamless e-commerce operations and ensure it interfaces effectively with other business systems.
• Identify and implement and own new tools to enhance productivity and data-driven decision-making (i.e. NetStock – Inventory Planning tools; Elastic – Order Entry and B2B campaign tools; Etc.)
• Leadership and Team Development (10%)
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance and operations team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
• Set clear performance metrics and goals for team members.

Key Metrics for Success:

• Financial KPIs:
• Achieve annual revenue growth targets.
• Maintain or improve EBITDA margin.
• Reduce operational costs by 10% within the first year.
• Operational KPIs:
• Improve order fulfillment speed by 15% in the first 12 months.
• Ensure on-time delivery rate exceeds 95%.
• System Utilization KPIs:
• Achieve full integration and optimized use of NetSuite within six months.
• Enhance Shopify efficiency leading to a 20% increase in conversion rates.
• Leadership KPIs:
• Develop and retain top talent with an employee satisfaction score of 85% or higher.
• Achieve 100% completion of annual performance reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Comparable experience with apparel brands and Warroad’s current growth trajectory.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and operations leadership roles, preferably in consumer goods or apparel industries.
• Proficiency in NetSuite, Shopify, and other related business systems.
• Demonstrated experience in scaling operations for rapid growth.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
