GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Our pop-up shop is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate.
As our local LARP Twin Mask (twinmask.com) grows in popularity, the demand for high-quality LARP equipment for the players has grown, and we find ourselves in need of some extra hands to keep the wheels turning.
This dynamic part-time position will support the leadership team in creating an immersive and informative shopping experience at these local events.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Store Operations:
- POS register and cash handling duties include ensuring that all transactions are complete and accurate, accepting and processing orders, and resolving returns issues.
- Follow, teach, and exhibit all safety and compliance protocols.
Immersive Experience:
- Create and portray event-specific characters as approved by the leadership team, including provision of appropriate wardrobe and following rules of any LARP games at which the shop is present.
- Maintain store appearance to ensure that it is neat, orderly, and well-stocked to meet the company’s visual merchandising standards and event policies.
Customer Service:
- Welcome customers into the store.
- Consistently demonstrate a positive and seamless guest experience.
- Assist customers with merchandise purchases by locating items customers may wish to purchase, suggesting items of interest, and retrieving merchandise from inventory when needed.
Brand Representation:
- Must remain in good standing with event leadership teams and abide by all event policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay knowledgeable about our range of products.
- Promote special sales, offers, and awareness of store loyalty programs.
- Collaborate with the team to follow company values.
- Follow and impart store-set priorities and brand standards.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Store Operations:
- Maintain connectivity and charge of POS and other electronic equipment.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled with name and price.
Customer Experience:
- Coach customers in the care and maintenance of company products.
- Responsible for cascading customer feedback to correct channels of communication.
- Attain delegated event sales goals.
Loss Prevention:
- Monitor public areas for potential threats.
- Identify potential thieves or vandals among staff or patrons.
- Follow and confront suspected shoplifters.
- Review inventory and stock and investigate suspected pilferage by employees.
- Document theft and other security violations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months experience working at a retail store preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience with cash handling and customer service preferred
- Minimum 6 months Live-Action Role Play experience preferred
- Twin Mask experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform constant physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and grasping

- Ability to communicate face-to-face with or without reasonable accommodation
