The Clinical Esthetician and Dermatologic Educator will focus on performing esthetic and wellness procedures and seeing general dermatology patients who require additional time to understand their skin conditions and lifestyle recommendations. As the lead educator, this individual will play a vital role in helping patients manage their skin health through education and various wellness procedures. The candidate should bring an established book of business, demonstrating a strong connection within the community. In this role, you will support the dermatology team by offering personalized patient care, performing esthetic procedures, and educating patients on recommended lifestyle changes that may alleviate their skin concerns.
Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform esthetic and wellness procedures such as: dermaplaning, facials, light chemical peels, and other non-invasive skin treatments.
- Meet with general dermatology patients to provide extended consultation on skin health, lifestyle factors, and recommended treatments.
- Educate patients on how diet, environment, and lifestyle choices impact skin conditions, providing actionable advice for long-term skin health.
- Serve as an educator within the practice, helping patients understand their treatment plans and how they can optimize skin wellness.
- Work collaboratively with dermatologists and medical staff to ensure a seamless experience for patients, contributing to patient education efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, leveraging your established clientele and community presence.
- Stay current on skincare trends, dermatology research, and wellness practices to continually enhance patient education and care.
- Promote the practice’s services and philosophy of skin health in the community, helping to grow the practice’s reach and reputation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Esthetician with clinical experience, preferably within a dermatology or medical setting.
- Proven experience in educating patients on skin health, dermatological treatments, and lifestyle recommendations.
- A loyal, established clientele and strong community ties within the St. Petersburg or Pinellas County area.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex dermatological issues in simple terms.
- Ability to perform esthetic procedures with a focus on wellness and skin health.
- Experience in digital/social media marketing and advertising of procedures, products and skincare approaches that align with our values.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage patient schedules efficiently.
- A passion for patient education and holistic skin care approaches.
