MUST BE BASED IN THE U.S. 

Designation: Part-Time, Contractor, Starting at 5-10 hrs/wk with opportunity to increase with client volume

Rate: $20-$30/hr depending on experience

Location: Remote (work from home)

Hours: Must be available between 9:00 am - 2:00 pm CT, M-F

Starting Date: ASAP


The Role:

We are seeking a strategic Freelance Website Copywriter who can ramp up quickly to support client website development projects. This is a part-time contractor role starting at approximately 5-10 hours per week, with potential to ramp up based on client volume. 


The right fit for this role will have a solid understanding of website messaging strategy and conversion-focused copywriting, and have the ability to consistently apply proven frameworks across projects. You’ll take questionnaires, discovery notes and the WSC method to deliver clear, compelling copy that reflects each practitioner’s voice, expertise, and approach. 


This role requires strong listening and synthesis skills to distill clinical and emotionally complex concepts into confident messaging that feels authentic and cohesive.


You’ll work collaboratively with our internal team to follow our frameworks and processes, while also comfortably collaborating with clients on direction, feedback and revisions. 


Website Copywriting


  • Use our proven framework to translate each practitioner’s vision into clear, engaging website messaging
  • Support 3-5 client projects simultaneously and produce high-quality copy within project timelines
  • Support development of brand voice that is distinctive and propels prospective clients toward action
  • Craft messaging that support both design flow and conversion strategy
  • Write website copy that balances warmth, authority, clarity, and credibility
  • Identify positioning gaps and proactively elevate messaging beyond surface-level edits
  • Ensure copy aligns with SEO best practices without sacrificing voice or readability
  • Guide clients toward confident messaging decisions while maintaining brand integrity
  • Lead and/or participate in client-facing calls focused on excavating brand message and presenting copy
  • Maintain solution-oriented collaboration with internal team and clients
  • Proactively communicate with professionalism, responsiveness, and empathy


Skills:

  • 3-5 years copywriting experience — agency experience is great, but not required 
  • Experience writing website copy, other marketing copywriting experience as a plus
  • Experience with SEO and up-to-date knowledge of creating optimized content
  • Comfortable writing long-form content, translating clinical jargon and concepts into relatable, client-friendly copy
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with quick turnarounds
  • Understanding of structuring web copy and how it relates to site website design
  • Ability to review and revise content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
  • A creative thinker who can connect the dots so it doesn’t just sound good, it actually converts


Software and Tools:

  • ClickUp or similar project management tool
  • Slack
  • Google Suite or Microsoft Suite
  • Zoom or other video conferencing tools
  • Dubsado or similar

This role is not a great fit for:


  • Inexperienced copywriters / Interns
  • Copywriters who prefer to work solo
