Description

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to program, design, and set up tooling and fixtures for complex parts, supporting both 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers and turning operations. This role requires technical expertise in CNC programming, hands-on machining, and the ability to produce high-quality precision components. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities


  • CNC Programming: Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis machining and turning centers using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
  • Tool and Fixture Design: Design custom tools and fixtures to support the production of complex parts, ensuring optimal efficiency and accuracy.
  • Setup and Machine Operation: Perform machine setups, including tooling, workholding, and alignment, for both milling and turning operations.
  • Machining: Operate CNC machines to produce precision components, ensuring they meet exact specifications and tolerances.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve programming, tooling, and machining issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering and production teams to refine processes, improve efficiency, and meet project deadlines.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a CNC machinist, including programming, setup, and machining complex parts.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks) and G-code programming.
  • Advanced knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling for both milling and turning.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Salary

$27 - $40 per hour
