VOX ATL welcomes applicants to apply for a semester-long internship to support after-school programming at VOX ATL. Interns will have the opportunity to co-create curriculum, facilitate Leadership Accelerator workshops, support program evaluation, create a welcoming VOXy environment, connect with and engage fellows, and continue to develop their own professional leadership skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of a project from start to finish and is looking to hone their leadership skills while providing mentorship and support to others doing the same.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Help develop agendas, promote, and facilitate workshops for all VOX participants
- Create and maintain a VOXy safe and welcoming environment that upholds VOX ATL values and helps participants to feel free to use their voice.
- Support the development of leadership opportunities as well as program evaluation, to help the program meet goals and support youth voice and leadership.
- Work alongside VOX ATL adult staff to build out the curriculum for the 2026-2027 Youth Voice Leadership Accelerator.
- Help the fellows in the accelerator program organize events for VOXers and other metro Atlanta teens.
- Collaborate with fellow interns to support program-wide events and content creation.
Schedule & Compensation:
- This is a semester-long internship (August-December) and will end on the final day of programming. This position averages 10 hours per week, with an emphasis on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons/early evenings and Saturdays
Key Dates Include:
- VOX ATL Internship Logistics Call - Thursday, August 6, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
- Intern Training (Understanding your role, ambassadorship, media skills, peer editing, and mentorship) - Tuesday, August 11 to Thursday, August 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the VOX ATL Office.
- VOX ATL Open House - Sat. Aug. 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Weekly Intern Meetings - Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting on August 18 (In-person).
- Leadership Accelerator Meetings - Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. starting on Saturday, October 10. (The Accelerator is a six-week program. Interns will arrive at 1 p.m)
- Winter Showcase - Sat. Dec 12
- Intern Close Out - Tue. Dec. 15
- This position will require in-person leadership, so the intern should be able to work from the VOX ATL office.
- You will track your time using VOX’s time-tracking process; compensation is $10/hour for up to 10 hours per week.
- MARTA Breeze tickets or parking validation at the VOX office will be provided.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be members and participants in VOX ATL’s programming. Applicants for the Leadership Accelerator must have previously completed a semester or summer program with VOX ATL, and must have parent/guardian support for participating as an intern this semester.
