VOX ATL is seeking a Producer to develop and oversee editorial content production across multiple digital platforms. The Producer will work to amplify teen voices through compelling, multiformat storytelling that advances conversations about issues affecting young people in Atlanta and beyond. This role will create and produce VOX Studios multi-media content, and play a pivotal role in shaping the content our teen writers, photographers, and videographers produce. This role will be responsible for publishing VOX ATL’s community outreach content and ensuring it aligns with VOX ATL's editorial standards and vision.

Description

Key Responsibilities

Digital & Print Media Production 

  • Produce high-quality multimedia, including shorts, reels, videos, and podcasts
  • Review, edit, and produce teen-generated multimedia content, including articles, photographs, and videos, for grammar, style, clarity, and accuracy 
  • Ensure that content meets VOX ATL’s editorial guidelines and publishing standards 
  • Upload and organize raw content and finished productions in shared content library 


Teen & Near Peer Engagement 

  • Provide editorial support to VOX Production Interns, VOX teen staff, and contributors
  • Provide constructive feedback to help improve their storytelling skills and develop their unique voices
  • Train teen multimedia editors to support VOX ATL’s teen-led, peer-to-peer model 


 Community Outreach 

  • Coordinate with clients  to schedule interviews and gather details in pre-production 
  • Support external community outreach activities in collaboration with VOX ATL Adult staff 


Required Qualifications

•   3+ years of experience in journalism, media production, editorial management, or content strategy.

•   Demonstrated experience working with or mentoring young people, particularly from marginalized communities.

•   Strong editorial judgment and commitment to journalistic ethics and accuracy.

•   Proficiency with digital platforms and content management systems; experience with analytics tools.

•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to provide constructive feedback and clear direction.

•       Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Preferred Qualifications

•   Experience producing video or audio content.

•   Familiarity with youth development frameworks or practices.

•   Experience with racial and economic justice-focused organizations.

•   Knowledge of Atlanta neighborhoods, demographics, and youth communities.
