Volunteer Home Services is a small handyman company started by a local licensed home inspector. We offer handyman services throughout the Knoxville real estate industry and to local homeowners. We are in the process of growing our team and looking for new handymen to hire.

Our company is fast growing and provides competitive wages. Our Home Service Supervisors are issued company cars to drive.

Our growing company is looking to fill the role of handyman. To join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.

Supervisor Pay Range

$20 per hour up to $25.00. Pay is based on experience.

Supervisor will have the use of a company vehicle.

Responsibilities for Handyman

• Must have exceptional customer service skills
• Replacing door, windows, light fixtures, fans, faucets, mailboxes.
• Liaise with the office via email or phone/text on job orders and where jobs will be located.
• Daily trips to office to load up work van for the day's work
• Shopping Home Depot/Lowes to pick up needed equipment when needed.
• Arrive at work locations to access the job initially and provide client with a quote.
• Plan and schedule work assignments to accomplish workload with available resources and equipment
• Transportation required. Must be able to meet at the office to join the team. A company van will be used to get to each job.

Qualifications for Handyman

• Be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Be computer literate.
• Act in a professional manner and be courteous to co-workers, clients and onsite visitors
• Required to bend, reach, and hold awkward positions for prolonged periods
• Required to lift up to 50 pounds and to lift and transport various types of equipment and tools.
• Must be able to push and pull heavy loads as listed above
• Is highly organized and able to keep detailed records
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Must be able to plan out the day and schedule different jobs in a time effective manner.
• Must be able to delegate tasks so that you can work on more important, time sensitive tasks.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
