Overview

The Leasing & Marketing Associate will assist the Leasing & Marketing Manager in achieving leasing goals for their assigned properties. Responsibilities include supporting marketing efforts, touring prospects, conducting follow-ups, and maintaining communication with residents and guarantors. This role is ideal for someone with excellent people skills, an eagerness to learn, and an interest in property leasing and marketing.

Description

Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

• Assist with achieving occupancy goals by supporting leasing activities and executing tasks assigned by the Leasing & Marketing Manager.
• Help maintain and update marketing materials and plans, based on guidance and local market research.
• Support outreach efforts to local universities and businesses to promote leasing and resident satisfaction.
• Conduct property tours for prospective residents, showcasing the features of the community in a warm and professional manner.
• Follow up with leads and inquiries as directed, ensuring communication is prompt and professional.
• Aid in maintaining accurate records in property management software (e.g., Appfolio) and tracking leads, applications, and lease information.
• Assist in creating social media content and marketing campaigns in alignment with branding standards.
• Support the Leasing & Marketing Manager in planning and executing resident events and community engagement efforts.
• Respond to questions from prospective and current residents regarding leasing processes, applications, and property features.

Other Responsibilities:

• Help monitor competitor properties to stay informed about market trends.
• Assist with move-in/move-out processes, working closely with the team to ensure a smooth experience for residents.
• Collaborate with the team during turn season to ensure readiness for new residents.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with residents and guarantors to uphold Vitra Housing’s values.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Experience in student housing or leasing is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva is a plus.
• Comfort with building relationships and interacting with new people.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Primarily remote office work, requiring extended periods of sitting, typing, and screen time.
• Occasional physical tasks such as walking, climbing, bending, or lifting may be required.
• Routine use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and photocopiers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Local travel may be necessary based on property needs, training, or meetings.
• Expect extended hours during the turn season, with no time-off requests allowed during that period.
