Volume Sports Photographer

Sacramento, CA | Part-Time / Seasonal | Travel Required

We’re looking for a talented and dependable Volume Sports Photographer to join our team. We photograph youth athletes, primarily at the high school level. This is a great opportunity for a portrait photographer who enjoys working with kids, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality images.

What You'll Do

• Photograph individual athletes and teams at schools.
• Use off-camera lighting to create professional, high-quality portraits
• Work efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Set up, move, and break down photography and lighting equipment
• Travel between schools throughout the Sacramento area and locations 60+ miles outside of Sacramento
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Communicate confidently and professionally with athletes, coaches, parents, and school staff
• Create a positive and professional experience for young athletes and their families

The Ideal Candidate

You’re a skilled portrait photographer who is comfortable working quickly without sacrificing quality. You enjoy working with kids and teenagers, have a confident and friendly personality, and can easily communicate with coaches, parents, and school staff.

You are:

• Experienced in portrait photography and off-camera lighting
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for quality
• Comfortable working outdoors and in changing conditions
• Able to lift, carry, and move photography equipment
• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
• Comfortable traveling throughout the Sacramento region and beyond
• Professional, personable, and confident working with youth athletes
• Passionate about creating great images and a positive experience for every athlete

Compensation & Travel

This position offers competitive compensation based on experience and assignment requirements. Mileage is paid for qualifying travel, including travel to locations outside the Sacramento area.
