Our family owned optometry practice is looking for an outstanding personality with a need to help others. Must be great with numbers and people alike. A self-starter that is capable of multi-tasking in our busy clinic. Optician experience is a plus.
Duties include:
- Pretesting patients using modern ocular equipment
- Scribing for the doctor during the exam
- Frame styling patients for their new look
- Ensuring patients receive the best lens products for their vision
- Quoting savings with and without their insurance
- Sending glasses orders to the lab
- Verifying the accuracy of the glasses received from the lab
- Dispensing glasses orders to our patients
- Training patients to apply and care for their contact lenses
- Assist the doctor in fitting custom specialty contact lenses
- Assist the doctor in fitting low vision devices for patients
- Run special diagnostic tests ordered by the doctor.
- General office work and maintaining a clean work environment
