VIE Technologies Inc. Sales Development Representative Remote · Full time Company website

We are looking for a driven, curious, and commercially sharp Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing revenue team. As our SDR, you will be the first touchpoint for future customers — building pipeline, opening doors, and setting the stage for transformative enterprise sales across electric utilities, oil and gas, data centers, and large industrial electricity consumers.

About VIE Technologies Inc.

VIE Technologies is revolutionizing how critical energy infrastructure is monitored and maintained. We have developed the industry's first non-invasive, AI-powered predictive maintenance solution for electrical transformers — the backbone of the power grid, oil and gas facilities, data centers, and industrial operations. Our proprietary IoT sensor installs in minutes directly on the outside of any transformer without opening, modifying, or powering down the equipment. Continuously capturing triaxial vibration, temperature, and electrical stress data, our platform detects electrical, mechanical, and thermal failure signatures weeks or months before traditional methods or human operators ever could. By replacing reactive, time-based maintenance with proactive, condition-based intelligence, VIE Technologies helps electric utilities, renewable energy producers, oil and gas operators, data centers, and large industrial electricity consumers maximize uptime, minimize risk, and increase profitability. Backed by leading energy investors including Energy Impact Partners, VIE Technologies is a high-growth venture poised to transform the $500B+ global transformer maintenance market.

Description

What You'll Do

Pipeline Generation & Outbound Prospecting

  • Build and execute multi-channel outbound prospecting campaigns targeting electric utilities, oil and gas operators, data centers, and large industrial electricity consumers across North America.
  • Research and identify key decision-makers — asset managers, reliability engineers, VP Operations, and C-suite contacts — and craft personalized, insight-driven outreach sequences.
  • Qualify inbound leads and marketing-generated contacts, converting them into scheduled meetings for Account Executives.
  • Maintain consistent daily outreach activity across phone, email, LinkedIn, and HubSpot sequences to hit and exceed pipeline generation targets.

Digital Marketing & LinkedIn Campaigns

  • Plan, launch, and optimize LinkedIn Ads and sponsored content campaigns targeting VIE's ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) segments within the energy, utilities, and industrial sectors.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop account-based messaging, retargeting strategies, and lead generation content aligned to specific buyer personas.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics — CTR, CPL, conversion rates — and continuously iterate based on results.
  • Leverage LinkedIn Sales Navigator for targeted account research, social selling, and connection-building within priority accounts.

Event Management & Meeting Setting

  • Coordinate VIE's presence at industry conferences and trade shows including DistribuTECH, CIGRE, PowerGen, SPE, and DataCenter World — managing pre-event outreach, booth scheduling, and post-event follow-up sequences.
  • Set and confirm executive meetings at events, ensuring Account Executives walk into every conference with a full calendar of qualified prospect meetings.
  • Own post-event follow-up campaigns to convert event conversations into active pipeline opportunities.
  • Support the coordination of webinars, virtual demos, and roundtable events as part of the broader demand generation strategy.

CRM Management & Reporting

  • Own HubSpot CRM hygiene — maintaining accurate contact records, activity logging, sequence enrollment, and pipeline stage updates.
  • Track and report on SDR KPIs weekly: outreach volume, connect rates, meetings set, meetings held, and pipeline influenced.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to align messaging, refine ICP definitions, and improve outbound conversion rates.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Background

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Development, Business Development, or inside sales role at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding pipeline generation and meeting-setting quotas.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM — including sequence management, pipeline tracking, reporting dashboards, and contact management.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Ads/Campaign Manager for both prospecting and paid demand generation.
  • Experience planning and executing digital marketing campaigns — including content distribution, paid social, and email marketing — in collaboration with a marketing team.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and maximize pipeline results from in-person industry events, including pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can write a concise, compelling cold email and hold a confident discovery conversation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage company environment where processes are still being built.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling or prospecting into the energy industry — electric utilities, oil and gas (upstream/midstream/downstream), renewable energy, or large industrial electricity consumers.
  • Background prospecting for a technical product company — IoT, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, industrial software, or energy technology.
  • Familiarity with asset-intensive industries and the operational realities of transformer maintenance, grid reliability, or industrial uptime.
  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and tools to support targeted outreach into enterprise accounts.
  • Exposure to enterprise SaaS sales cycles involving multi-stakeholder environments and longer deal timelines.

Skills & Competencies

  • Relentless prospecting drive paired with the intellectual curiosity to learn a technically complex product and industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills — able to manage high-volume outreach across multiple channels without letting anything fall through the cracks.
  • Data-driven mindset — you track what's working, cut what isn't, and continuously refine your approach based on results.
  • Collaborative by nature — you partner closely with Account Executives and Marketing to build pipeline as a team sport.
  • Resilient and coachable — you take feedback well, bounce back from rejection, and keep improving your craft.
  • Genuine curiosity about energy infrastructure, critical systems, and the technology transforming how the grid is maintained.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 60 days, you will have fully mastered VIE's value proposition and ICP, built your first outbound sequences in HubSpot, and delivered your first qualified meetings to the Account Executive team. Within six months, you will be a consistent pipeline contributor — running LinkedIn campaigns, owning event coordination end-to-end, and generating meetings at a pace that materially supports VIE's revenue growth targets.

Why VIE

  • We are solving a real, urgent problem — critical infrastructure fails silently, and we are the only solution providing true leading indicators of failure across electrical, thermal, and mechanical failure modes.
  • You will be a key contributor at a company where the work you do this quarter will materially shape how the company wins in the next few years.
  • We are backed by strong commercial traction with marquee accounts across the data center, utility, and industrial sectors.
  • Our core values — Adaptability, Courage, Discovery, Connection, and Environment — are not a poster on the wall. They are how we make decisions and build the team.
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance-based commission, and equity participation.
