Position Overview:
We are seeking a Patient Care and Insurance Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role will work to ensure our patients receive seamless care from treatment planning through insurance navigation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a passion for creating positive patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding their treatment plans and insurance options.
- Assists with dental receptionist duties, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Greets patient and performs patient check-in/check-out.
- Present treatment plans, explaining procedures, benefits, and associated costs in a clear and approachable manner.
- Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and treatment schedules.
- Build strong relationships with patients to foster trust and loyalty.
Insurance Coordination:
- Verify patients’ insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Submit and track insurance claims to ensure timely processing and payment.
- Address insurance-related questions or issues, acting as a liaison between patients and insurance providers.
- Provide detailed financial counseling, including payment plans and financing options, as needed.
Administrative Duties:
- Accurately maintain patient records in the practice management software.
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients.
- Reconcile financial transactions and generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Requirements:
- Warm, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- 2+ years of experience in a dental setting (preferred).
- 2+ years of sales experience.
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, benefits, and claims processes.
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in both patient care and insurance coordination in dental setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to patient needs.
Pay rate will be determined by experience.
