Seeking an experienced Project Manager with 5–10 years in large-scale wayfinding projects within transportation and city sectors. Responsibilities

  1. Manage large scale infrastructure projects and clients simultaneously
  2. Establish and implement project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with company policies
  3. Management of the entire project lifecycle from definition/scope through implementation
  4. Act as a technical resource for the project team and lead design review meetings
  5. Lead client communication and coordination including issuing agendas, notes, and schedules
  6. Coordinate and prioritize project needs, resources, and information internally and with the client project teams to move the project forward 
  7. Identify required and optional changes in project scope and negotiate changes with clients as warranted or best practices suggest
  8. Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle; including coordinating with clients, vendors, and other project partners
  9. Work with the Principal and New Business Coordinator, contributing to the technical direction of new business proposals including project scope, budget, and timeline
  10. Work with the Principal and Finance Director on invoicing. 


Qualifications

  1. Proven success in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, with high attention to detail, with outstanding organizational skills
  2. Experience and enjoy face-to-face interaction with clients
  3. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  4. Self-motivated, takes initiative, and is resourceful, with an eagerness to contribute, learn, adapt, and grow
  5. An open, positive, and empathetic personality
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to clients
  7. Consistently demonstrate him/herself professionally and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  8. Ability to successfully lead others; including but not limited to planning, assigning and directing work, resolving problems, training and developing a team, and participating in knowledge transfer
  9. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office programs, and Google Suite Applications.
  10. This is a full-time hybrid position where you must have easy access to New York City and the surrounding area as local travel to meetings or site visits will not be reimbursed.
  11. Experience with Asana or similar


Nice to Have

  1. Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  2. Experience with Monograph and Trainual

 

Required Background

  1. Bachelor’s degree in design, architecture, engineering or related field
  2. 5-10 years of experience managing wayfinding projects within a wayfinding design, architecture or engineering firm.
  3. Understanding of architectural drawings, scale, product materials, and implementation options
  4. Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
