Vendrix Inc. Backend Software Engineer (Mid-Level) Birmingham, AL · Remote · Full time

Credit cards in the workplace are often looked at as a liability, especially when the number of card holders increases in an organization. At Vendrix, we are changing that paradigm. Cards are an incredible tool on the jobsite and just like anything else can be abused. We are building software that enables card holders to use the Vendrix Card as an everyday tool to do their job while safeguarding against abuse and fraudulent purchases. We enable streamlined approvals before the card is swiped and allow our customers to focus on the job at hand. As a back-end engineer you will be given enormous flexibility to architect, design, and build products that power the Vendrix Card.

We are looking for a mid-level back-end engineer who can join our team and help us build, test, and ship incredible products - learning new languages and frameworks along the way! 

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• 3-6 + years of professional experience working on a software development team
• Experiences with Cloud based architectures (preference on Google Cloud)
• Well versed in backend software development with Typescript, NodeJS, MongoDB and supporting frameworks such as ExpressJS and Zod.
• Solid understanding of Docker & Docker Compose
• CS or other Engineering degree (any field) is strongly preferred but not required.
