VEGA Partners seeks a Project Assistant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director, the Project Assistant makes an impact by supporting consulting teams, ensuring seamless project delivery, producing high-quality work deliverables and written materials. The Project Assistant is naturally curious, detail oriented, thrives in a diverse environment and enjoys varied projects and tasks. WHAT YOU WILL DO 

The Project Assistant will be responsible for project management to support consulting teams on various client engagements. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Project management abilities to support multiple work streams toward deadlines 
  • Provide project management support, broad issue area research and create written materials 
  • Develop clear, compelling materials for client engagements including correspondence, presentations, reports and summaries 
  • Write, edit and produce visually appealing work deliverables including reports that contain narrative summaries, infographics, and charts 
  • Develop meeting agendas, take comprehensive notes, track action items and deliverables 
  • Manage internal and external follow-up communications to ensure projects meet deadlines 
  • Use all available company resources—expertise, experience, templates, tools, to seamlessly and efficiently advance project plans and support seamless workflows 
  • Serve as the point person on moving action steps forward, providing reminders 
  • Organize schedules and logistics for meetings with teams, clients and other stakeholders  
  • Maintain document management for projects, maintain, and edit documents, research, and other materials for simultaneous projects 
  • Conduct broad issue area research and fact-checking for accuracy

  • Adept at project management (familiarity with agile philosophy a plus)

  • Excellent work planning and time management abilities to manage varying priorities daily 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and work productivity/experience applications 
  • Values learning and has a strong sense of curiosity about people and the world

Due to the nature of the role, this position is based in Chicago. 

 

HYBRID WORK MODEL 

Our current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees. In line with local health guidance and regulations, employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week.
