What You’ll Do

  • Lead and perform power system studies, including:
  • Short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, and load flow studies
  • Protection system analysis and relay settings development
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and system data
  • Provide technical guidance to field service teams during testing and commissioning activities
  • Develop engineering reports, recommendations, and mitigation strategies for clients
  • Support commissioning of substations, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems
  • Participate in root-cause investigations and system reliability assessments
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical standards and best practices
  • Engage with clients to understand needs and present technical findings clearly

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng. or PE) or eligibility to obtain
  • 7+ years of experience in power systems engineering, utility, industrial, or consulting environments
  • Strong experience with power system study software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PSCAD, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of protection and control systems
  • Familiarity with field testing practices and commissioning processes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-engineers
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
