Summary: Responsible for maintaining an adequate level of nursing for the program’s dispensing and medical operations. Responsible for ensuring that medical services are in compliance with all federal and state regulations all under the supervision of the medical director by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

1. Attends administrative, staff, and clinical treatment meetings.*
2. Schedules program physicians for intakes and schedules client consultations with a program physician or the medical director.*
3. Administers the exposure control plan.*
4. Maintains license to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.*
5. Responsible for being evaluated by subjective and objective methods.*
6. Works as a member of a team and participates in team meetings.*
7. Administers medication accurately and efficiently. *
8. Maintains accurate medication records including daily, monthly, and biennial medication logs.*
9. Communicates verbally or otherwise client medication needs and progress to the medical director.*
10. Completes initial assessment forms accurately and assembles and maintains the client medical record.*
11. NCPMP at a minimum quarterly
12. Maintains accurate inventory including DEA 222 form maintenance.*
13. Documents accurately.*
14. Responsible for attendance and punctuality at work.*
15. Responsible for a professional demeanor.*
16. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, NC Controlled Substance Reporting System, and Methasoft software.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OR

Masters in nursing/Registered nursing degree; and one year related experience and/or Training.

Certificates and Licenses:

CPR/FIRST AID required
