THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Media Buyer to join our tight-knit team and support the next phase of growth at VALENZ. You’ll report into our Director, Podcast & Creator Partnerships, who leads client strategy, relationships, and performance across our roster.


In this role, you’ll execute podcast and YouTube campaigns from creator discovery and vetting to negotiation, optimization, and performance analysis. You’ll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, making smart bets on emerging talent, and helping drive strong outcomes for our clients.


You’ll also help scale one of the fastest-growing parts of our business: YouTube partnerships. You’ll play a key role in helping shape how we grow the channel over time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Execute campaigns end-to-end across our client roster, including sourcing, outreach, vetting, negotiation, booking, QA, optimization, and reporting
  • Analyze performance and optimize campaigns, working with the Director to make data-informed decisions on what to scale, cut, or test next
  • Source new podcast and YouTube opportunities with a heavy focus on independent shows and emerging creators
  • Build and maintain a high-quality, high-velocity pipeline of shows and creators to test across clients, ensuring a consistent flow of strong new opportunities
  • Vet shows and creators for fit by listening, watching, evaluating the audience, and forming a clear point of view on whether they’re right for a given client
  • Conduct high-volume outreach to podcast hosts and YouTube creators, building relationships, pitching our brands, and driving new testing opportunities
  • Negotiate rates and terms with podcast and creator partners, securing strong value for our clients
  • Ensure quality endorsements and ad reads by flagging anything that doesn’t meet our standards and working with partners to fix it
  • Help expand our YouTube creator program by sourcing creators, building relationships, executing buys, and helping scale the channel meaningfully for clients
  • Maintain a clean and organized creator database so we always know what’s been tested, what’s pending, and what’s next
  • Support client calls as part of the media buying team managing and executing campaigns across our roster of brands


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years of experience in podcast or YouTube advertising, media buying, or creator partnerships
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable growth and direct response performance
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data to make decisions and improve outcomes
  • Creative thinker with strong instincts who naturally brings fresh perspectives and new opportunities to an evolving creator landscape
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with creators, talent reps, and network partners
  • Ability to jump into existing campaigns, identify inefficiencies, and drive stronger outcomes
  • Confident managing multiple campaigns, clients, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute without constant direction
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Self-starter with a strong ownership mindset who takes initiative, follows through, and thrives with autonomy
  • Growth mindset with a willingness to test, learn, and iterate quickly
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel for campaign management, analysis, and reporting (experience with tools like Podscribe, Podchaser, and Magellan is a plus)
  • Professional and personable in communication across email, calls, and video
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, remote-first team environment
  • Genuine interest in the creator economy and performance marketing
