We are expanding again and looking for an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic, and a highly motivated Studio Manager to join our team of rockstars at Utopia. This role will be based in-studio and plays an integral part of our team. This person is responsible  for providing leadership and daily direction to the team in our facility. This critical position must have a solid understanding of sales and operational excellence. As the lead for sales systems, the Studio Manager must execute lead generation/marketing strategies, plan to increase sales, as well as promote the positive benefits that are associated with a martial arts program. This leader must have a high caliber approach to coaching and staff development.


The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about working with kids and changing lives. They are outgoing, motivated, have great communication skills and are capable of delivering a high standard of customer service.

Job Duties Include:

  • Hires, trains and schedules all studio staff. Develop and review monthly sales goals with the owner and staff.
  • Manages, develops and evaluates the performance of all Utopia staff for ongoing success and future growth. Responsible for staff one-on-ones and performance evaluations.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings and attends all required training.
  • Manages client and staff concerns as well as daily operations of a fast-paced martial arts studio
  • Works directly with the Head Coach in increasing studio utilization and traffic
  • Executes company’s marketing and social media efforts to promote the studio and brand and ensures that sales and training staff are effectively participating in marketing and social media.
  • Holds staff meetings and training in order to ensure the success of the studio.
  • Maintain current, active employee files which include resume, CPR cards, disciplinary items, emergency contact info, my favorites list, etc.
  • Executes and coordinates company’s marketing and ongoing sales drivers (studio events, outreach, pre-sale events, camps & after-school)
  • Models all studio activities through self-involvement
  • Manages disciplinary actions involving studio employees
  • Is responsible for meeting performance metrics (KPI’s)
  • Responsible for submitting Daily Manager Debrief & EOD Stats Reports
  • Ensures staff is meeting or exceeding goals
  • Confirms that staff is completing individual assignments and checklists
  • Works on establishing relationships with other local businesses to mutually support each other
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications:

  • MUST be over 18 years old
  • Multitasking, customer service skills, management skills
  • Must have the ability to direct sales through studio outreach programs
  • Ability to handle and manage interactions with customers
  • CPR / AED Certification is a plus
  • Reliable & punctual
  • Preferably 1+ years management experience
  • High School Diploma Required
  • For working with children at a day camp in Wisconsin (DCF 252) you will need to complete a child care background check was in compliance with the timelines and requirements specified in s. 48.686, Stats., and ch. DCF 13 and the person is eligible to work in a child care program.
